Why include stretching in a massage therapy session?
Stretching
is a great way to keep the body limber, but not all of us are able to
incorporate it into our daily lives. If a yoga class just doesn’t fit
into your schedule, why not add some stretching to your massage
treatment?
When combined with regular massage techniques, assisted stretching helps your massage therapist work more effectively by keeping your muscles supple.
Cramps, sprains, and dislocations all leave lasting impacts on our bodies that won't be obvious until weeks, or even months, have passed. Don't forget the physical strain a frequent adrenaline-high can have on your body either.
If you've started to notice lasting pain from old injuries or persistent aches and discomfort then consider starting Stretching therapy. I use a combination of therapeutic massage, deep tissue massage, and myofascial release to address the root causes of your discomfort.
